Regime of Accumulation

A Regime of Accumulation is a structured system of economic and ideological control developed by the Accumulating Class to extract Labour Value from the Slave Class. It consists of three interlocking modes—Mode of Accumulation, Mode of Production, and Mode of Reproduction—supported by a powerful superstructure of ideological institutions, symbolic narratives, and coercive mechanisms.

Why This Matters

The Regime of Accumulation lies at the heart of the Old Energy Civilization and is the primary structural impediment to healing, connection, and human development. It weaponizes religious and educational systems, turning them into Ideological Institutions. It systematically undermines Sufficient Satisfaction of one's Seven Essential Needs, including the need for and Connection. Recognizing its operation is essential to overcoming Toxic Socialization, dismantling exploitative systems, and transitioning to an equitable and spiritually integrated Regime of Distribution.

Strategic Significance

This term provides a structural lens for identifying and deconstructing the machinery of planetary control. It is foundational to the Avatar.Global effort to dismantle colonial capitalism and its ideological underpinnings. The Regime of Accumulation explains both global poverty and disconnection and underscores the need for planetary transition. All authentic pathways to transformation—including the LP's Stage Seven Vision—require its abolition and replacement.

The Regime operates through:

Mode of Accumulation – Mechanisms of value extraction (e.g., debt, profit, rent).
Mode of Production – Material arrangements for value creation (e.g., wage labor, automation).
Mode of Reproduction – Institutional systems that replicate exploitation across generations (e.g., schools, religion, media).

The regime is supported by systemic lying, needs suppression, and the ideological mystification of violence, debt, and inequality.

The System (i.e., Capitalism) is responsible for the impoverishment of the planet.^[2] It did not reduce extreme poverty, it created it.

According to Ruyle^[3], any Regime of Accumulation will consist of a particular Mode of Exploitation.

Ruyle uses the phrase Mode of Exploitation to refer to The System. Ruyle breaks the mode of exploitation down into three interrelated systems, Exploitative Techniques, Mechanism of Force, and Ideological Institutions. Each of these systems work together to enable and propagate the exploitation of the masses. His schema is a a bit undeveloped, but useful as inspiration.

The System encourages compliance and violence: Zimbardo, of Stanford Prison Experiment fame, speaks of a part of the System that aims at encouraging people towards compliance and violence. "However, I would have missed the big picture, the bigger power for creating evil out of good—that of the System, the complex of powerful forces that create the Situation."^[5] His book details the forces that cause good people to do bad things.

Zimbardo notes, in the case of Nazis and their mass murder, that getting people to do evil things involves casting the opponent as an evil enemy, and then giving official "permission" to carry out sadistic acts. ^[6]. The tools for labelling others as evil enemies, and the ideological underpinning that facilitates permission, can be found in the Old Energy Creation Template

The current, Stage Five system is a Capitalist Regime of Accumulation. ^[7]. In order for the planet to move on to Stage Seven, the Regime of Accumulation must be replaced with a Regime of Distribution that fairly and sustainably distributes the planet's bounty.
