Soma
Soma is an ancient Aryan Connection Supplement. It is spoken of widely in the Rig-Veda. Mandala Nine of the Rig-Veda is devoted to Soma Pavamaana (पवमान), or the "purifying soma." According to Huston Smith, Soma saturates the Rig-Veda and is the focal point of Vedic religion.[1]

Huston suggested it was brewed from psychedelic mushrooms, specifically the Amanita Muscaria.[2].
Interestingly, the Maoris of New Zealand associated the magical mushrooms with lighting.[3]
The band Lynyrd Skynrd brewed magic mushroom tea in the mornings before they got to work[4].
Bennett suggests there is evidence that Soma and Haoma "was likely a preparation that included cannabis."[5]
