Awakening (a.k.a. spiritual awakening) is the process of expanding awareness and understanding of the realities of ourselves and the world in which we live. The more an individual sees, realizes, and understands things, the more awake they are.[1]

Notes

Awakening is a process that occurs as the consequence of one or more discrete Connection Experiences.

Awakening is an Outcome Measure of Authentic Spirituality [2]

Carl Jung is on record as recommending "Spiritual Awakening" as the only cure for the intransigent alcoholism of the morbidly addicted.[3]

Awakening as a process may be distinguished from an Awakening Experience, which is a discrete low power Connection Event that leads to enhanced understanding and insight.

Spiritual awakening (or just awakening for short) is typically a volunteer process. It is initiated by intent and (sometimes) facilitated/accelerated with Connection Supplements, Connection Appliances, and Connection Practice. In certain situations, Forced Awakening may occur.

Spiritual awakening a biological process that, under healthy conditions, occurs naturally, without intervention, as part of the maturation process of the Physical Unit. The natural process of spiritual awakening can be subverted by Toxic Socialization and associated practices. When the natural process of awakening has been subverted, remedial training and healing are typically required.

Spiritual awakening is a significant process that implicates all aspects of an individual's psychological, emotional, physical, and spiritual life space.

Spiritual awakening may be initiated via a simple statement of Intent. The intent may be verbal, as in the case of Awakening Mantras, or it may be visual, as in the case of Awakening Visualizations. Connection Supplements may also be used to facilitate short-term (a few minutes to a few hours) Connection Experiences.

Awakening (i.e. drawing Consciousness into the vessel) is a complicated and, owing to failures in this planet's Toxic Socialization process, challenging process. In many cases, professional psychological, emotional, and sociological supports are required in order to fully awaken an individual.
