No-Buts Apology
A No-buts apology is an apology where you say “I am sorry, I was wrong,” and that is all. You do not justify the behaviour by saying things like “but you deserved it” or “but you made me mad” or “but you did the same to me last week” or whatever. You simply acknowledge your behaviour was wrong and promise to not do it again.[1]
