Psychological Defence Mechanisms
'Psychological Defence Mechanisms are psychological / behavioural patterns of thought and behaviour deployed by the Bodily Ego in an effort to a) reduce the likelihood of harm (e.g., the Fight, Flight, or Follow response), or b) reduce psychological pain, anxiety, anger, and sadness that might prevent optimal function (i.e. Ego Threat).
