The term Heavenly Marriage is a syncretic term for Alignment. In his chapter on "Goodness and Truth," and also in the chapter "From Secrets of Heaven," Emmanuel Swedenborg elaborates upon the meaning of this marriage, and its beneficial outcomes to those who achieve it, like the achievement of "angelic intelligence and wisdom", "beautification," "power against things that are evil and false," "wisdom," and on on.[2]
