Antahkarana

Antahkarana (inner instrument) is a Vedic term syncretic with the LP term Bodily Ego.[1]

Syncretic Terms

Bodily Ego > Acquired Self, Antahkarana, Apparent Ego, Awkward Self, Earthly Self, Elusive Self, Empirical Self, False Personality, Illusory Self, King of the Body, Little Self, Normal Self, Not Self, Outer Self, Personality, Self, Sensual Ego, Subtle Body, Talking Self

Notes

" According to the Hindu system of thought (Vedanta), antahkarana stands between the Self and the object and receives the object of perception, assuming its form as a whole .... Mind, or antahkarana, gets its power by association with the Self, or Atma, which is the same as Brahman, or the Absolute"[2]
