In a spiritual context, a Descent refers to to any movement away from Source/Consciousness. Descent may be a positive as when Consciousness "descends" into The Vessel, or descends the Tree of Life into manifestation, or it may be a negative as when the Physical Unit experiences dis-Connection and Darkness (i.e Descent into Darkness).
