Hadith is a term used in Islam to refer to the teachings, deeds, and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad. Like the Christian Gospels, the Islamic Hadith is a compilation of oral reports and testaments of things the "followers" thought important to write down.

Hadiths are the foundation of Islamic law though recently Muslim people have begun to challenge the authority of the Hadith in favor of direct reference to the Quran.
