Extrinsic self worth is basically self worth tied to externalized approval. Someone with externalized worth self requires externalized rewards (trophies, gold stars, positive performance evaluations, etc.) in order to feel good about themselves.

Someone with high extrinsic self worth is very easy to control. Those with Extrinsic Self Worth however may be manipulated by manipulating the externalized rewards (gold stars, trophies, power, money, etc.) that they have been trained to need in order to feel good about themselves.
