A Prophecy is a statement about an event that is likely to occur. For example, prognostic statements that a nutritionist might make concerning the long term outcome of bad eating habits are, in as much as they are statements about events that are likely to occur if you don't change your eating habits, prophecies (Sharp, BOLIFE).
