The beginning

I am the alpha and the omega, the beginning without end

The absolute and literal beginning of all "things" could be considered to have occurred when the original monad I (a.k.a. god with a little "g") emerged as a singularly self-aware intensification of the Fabric of Consciousness. Keep in mind however that The Fabric of Consciousness existed prior to the initial intensification and so technically there is neither beginning nor end.

In popular thought "the beginning" is often associated with the beginning of this physical universe. This beginning is, however, no beginning at all since Consciousness had been unfolding long before this universe, long before The Watershed,and long before the The Waters of Creation even existed.
