Secondary Relationships
From The SpiritWiki
Secondary Relationships are the relationships you have with co-workers, friends, and others who remain at an emotional, intellectual, and physical distance from you. As children our secondary attachments are with our school mates. As adults, our primary relationship(s) are typically with our co-workers.
The quality and health of secondary relationships are important, though not as significant as your primary relationship. Secondary relationship are healthy when appropriate boundaries exist, and when limitations are placed upon expectations and support. Secondary relationships are not professional relationships and should not be relied upon for intimate advice, personal, or professional guidance.
