The phrase The Descent usually refers to the descent of Consciousness from the powerful fires immediately following the Big Bang to the creation of the cold, hard, crystallized elements of Consciouness.

Notes

Sometimes, The Descent is conceived of as a move away from Consciousness, away from Source. That is a confusing misrepresentation. The universe is never far from source because, as noted in the BOLIGHT, the universe is constructed solely from source

The word "descent" may also be used to refer to the "descent" of Consciousness into The Vessel.

An archetypal representation of The Descent is provided in the TOSAS sacrifice card.
