Father God refers to the paternal personification of God offered to the masses by priests of Western ecclesiastical institutions. Father God is offered as a surrogate/opportunistic replacement for real fathers who are emotionally unavailable, unattached, or absent from an offspring's childhood as a result of war, work, abandonment, etc.

Father God may be contrasted with Church God, Science God, and Mother God

Notes

Ecclesiastical institutions use Father God to manage and control the faithful congregation.

Obviously, Father God is no substitute for a real, attached, and functional father.
