The adjective/adverb Mundane, from the Lain mundus/world, can be applied to any noun or verb representing a lack of concern, link, relationship, etc. with Consciousness. Compare with Sacred.

A politicians only concern is with the mundane affairs of business and profit..

The sanskrit word dRSTadharma (दृष्टधर्म) refers to mundane, physical existence devoid of consideration of Consciousness.

The sanskrit word saMsArin (संसारिन्) when used as an adjective refers to mundane, worldly, transitory things. When used as a noun it refers to a Physical unit.
