The adjective Sacred can be applied to any noun or verb representing a concern, link, relationship, etc. with Consciousness. Compare wit Mundane.

Examples

The sacred syllable hum (हुम्), when coupled with a visualization of the sacred aum (ॐ), aligns us with the highest and most powerful physical vibrations of Consciousness. Hum is thus a sacred syllable, and a powerful preliminary invocation in mantras (मन्त्र).

Aum (ओम्) is the sacred name of God and prefaces all the prayers and most of the writings of the Hindus.[1]
