Channeling as a spectrum
It should be noted that channeling can be interpreted as a spectrum. Everyone channels, if they know it or not. Even if it is one idea per month, the person still "channeled". In this sense, channeling is ubiquitous.
Most of the persons don't have an open connection, which leads to a lack of communication. (no ideas from above) Some persons do have a somewhat open connection, but don't realize this, because they lack the conceptualizations. Due to this circumstance, they don't have the tools to discern between ideas generated in themselves - be it internally or externally - and ideas comming from "above".
The ability to channel may be quite variable. Some are able to acquire an idea or two every once in a while. (Note that even this may be of incredible help in many situations.) With some training, entire thought streams may be channeled, featuring long stories, pictures, metaphors and allegories, etc. Obviously, this might come in quite handy, especially if one tries to understand as much as possible about this world.
