A Fear Stamp is a psychologically and genetically encoded association between a specific scenario/event, like swimming in the ocean, and a fear based outcome, like being attacked by a shark.

The ability of the Physical Unit to stamp fear provides short and long term survival advantage. An organism with a fear stamp is less likely to engage in the associated life threatening behaviour.
