A Spiritual System is a organized collection of thought that provides answers to the Big Questions. Spiritual systems may be overt and and widely acknowledged as spiritual systems (e.g., Christianity, Islam, Buddhism), covert (e.g., Freemasonry, Skull and Bones secret societies, etc.), or unrecognized (e.g., science). While science may not seem, at first glance, to be a spiritual system, the fact that science does provide answers to the Big Questions (even though these answers are materialist and dismissive) does allow us to classify science as a spiritual system.
