Sacrifice
Sacrifice is a Triumph of Spirit archetype used to describe the profound sacrifice that monads must participate in when they agree to descend into incarnation and put on The Blindfold in order to participate in the Great Work.
Sacrifice is an Archetype Card in the Halo/Sharp deck that visually represents the cosmic sacrifice we all endure. In this card Monadic Consciousness (as represented by the physical body in the picture), descends into physical incarnation (i.e. into The Waters of Creation) in order to uplift (i.e. Ascend) Physical Creation (represented as the stone disk). You are shown upside down because your head, your Consciousness, is submerged in the illusions and delusions of the work (you wear a The Blindfold|a blindfold). Nevertheless, you still remain firmly anchored in the high realms of consciousness from which you emerged.
Notes
Sacrifice may also be used to reference the fact that parents, teachers, and other Agents of Socialization/[[Agents of Consciousness| Consciousness] violate the moral, ethical, spiritual, and genetic parameters of the human physical unit in order to fit individuals into the productive apparatus of The System. The sacrifice causes profound psychological, emotional, and spiritual damage to the psychic structures of the physical unit, damage that must be addressed and repaired if the physical unit is to be able to attain full developmental potential.
