Lateral ideology

Lateral Ideology is indirect ideology. Indoctrination via lateral ideology occurs surreptitiously via sophisticated intellectual and emotional associations.

You can best understand lateral ideology by thinking of Christmas. Christmas indoctrinates and creates consumers by associating a yearly consumer frenzy with allusions of family happiness and function, high levels of tryptophan (from the millions of turkeys slaughtered each year, alcohol, and pure emotional fantasy. Warm fuzzy feelings and a hopeful fantasy become linked with product purchase. Consequently, feelings of well being, feelings of family satisfaction, feelings of personal connection all become supported and expressed via product purhase.

Lateral ideology is an extremely effective method for controlling because individuals being indoctrinated are not aware.
