The Song is unique among creation stories in that it does not portray creation as a struggle between good and evil, nor does it portray creation as controlled by a central authority figure (or figures) who tests, judges, and punishes. Rather, The Song portrays creation as an egalitarian and collective Great Work which we all participate in as equals, but with different skills.
