Creative Expectation

An online dictionary defines expectation as a “looking forward to; a regard that something is likely to happen; an anticipation of an occurrence”. A creative expectation is simply an expectation about creation. For example, potter on wheel might expect the pot he turns out to be strong, aesthetically pleasing, and innovative (another example).
