The letter "I" can be used to refer to Egoic Consciousness. Little "i" may refer to a lower state of Consciousness and Identity than is currently being referenced. Thus little "i" may refer to Bodily Consciousness when Resident Monadic Consciousness is being considered, or it may refer to Resident Monadic Consciousness when "higher levels" are being considered. In the former little "i" is normal you.

Big "I" may be used to refer to any higher state of Consciousness and Identity than is currently being referenced. Thus big "I" may refer to the eternal Fabric of Consciousness, God with a big "G", and the Real. Big "I" may also be used to refer to Spiritual Ego when Spiritual Ego is being compared to Bodily Ego.
