Systemic Violence

Systemic Violencerefers to the structural and institutionalized harm embedded within social, political, and economic systems that disproportionately disadvantages certain groups. Unlike direct or overt violence, systemic violence operates through policies, norms, and power structures that perpetuate inequality, oppression, and social suffering. It manifests in areas such as racism, poverty, inadequate healthcare, and legal injustices, often appearing invisible or normalized within society.
