The Parable of the Blindfold

The Parable of the Blindfold by Dr. Michael Sharp describes the process of spiritual awakening via the metaphor of a blindfold. The Parable highlights the traps, pitfalls, and difficulties of spiritual awakening. It provides a revelation of what can go wrong with the process, provides guidance on how do identify someone who has (temporarily) failed the awakening process (and therefore cannot be relied upon as a guide), and highlights the problems of greed and misuse of power that may occur in cases of partial blindfold removal.
