Notes
This form of accumulation is unfettered because it operates without constraints, whether moral, legal, or environmental. Members of the Accumulating Class, particularly those so addicted to wealth that they prioritize it over everything else, are referred to on the Lightning Path as the Unfortunate Ones. These individuals are driven by an insatiable greed, often leading them to support or perpetuate systems of exploitation, even when it contributes to planetary destruction and the disconnection of human beings from their authentic potential.
The consequences of unfettered accumulation are profound. This unchecked accumulation distorts human relationships, weakens societal bonds, and accelerates spiritual disconnection by elevating material wealth above all else. At its core, this form of accumulation is a pathology, fueled by addiction to money, which creates a wide array of social and spiritual dysfunctions, including environmental destruction, social injustice, emotional, psychological, and physical damage, and personal disempowerment.
