Notes

  1. Financial barriers to study are barriers caused by inability to pay for training. The LP removes financial barriers by providing inexpensive instructional content and completely free access to The SpiritWiki. The SpiritWiki contains all LP concepts and theories clearly defined, completely accessible, and totally exposed to the world. To study the Lightning Path, you don’t need to pay a thing. Anybody with the time to sort it all out for themselves can do so freely by accessing through the SpiritWiki.
  2. Cognitive barriers are things like bias, misconception, and confusion that make it hard to think about and understand spiritual concepts and ideas. This confusion is caused by lots of different things, like priests who are more concerned with social control, by poorly written translations of teachings that are centuries old, and, as we will see later, by deliberate interference from people who don't want you to know the empowering truth about your [wiki]Spiritual Ego[/wiki]. The LP removes cognitive barriers, as we have already seen, by carefully defining and interlinking all its concepts and ideas in a single place–the SpiritWiki. This careful definition and interlinking provides a open space for teaching that makes it easy for even total beginners to wrap their head around the Lightning Path teachings. It also helps prevent interference since the SpiritWiki allows us to maintain tight control of its concepts and ideas.
  3. Emotional barriers are caused by emotions that block a person from even considering spiritual teachings. These include emotions like fear, anxiety, self-deprecation, or even anger. These emotions arise from many different places. For example, a Catholic who has experienced religious abuse might reject all forms of religion as abusive. A person who fears hell may not want to examine what they perceive as frightening spiritual truths. A child that has been constantly told they are stupid may not feel worthy or competent to study the teachings. The LP removes these emotional barriers in several ways, by adhering to a strict policy of non-violence in both teachings and action, by being open, accessible, welcoming, and inclusive of all people, and by building up people’s sense of self and self esteem by reinforcing positive messages of authentic empowerment. This open, inclusive, respectful, honest, and empowering approach supports trust and engagement which, over time and with the help of carefully constructed LP content, gradually removes emotional barriers.
  4. Neurological barriers are barriers to study caused by bodily systems damaged by Toxic Socialization. The LP helps remove neurological barriers with the HEALING Framework, specifically by encouraging the creation of healing environments and the informed use of neurological medicines, like Psilocybin or Ketamine, both of which can help heal damaged neurological structures.[2]
  5. Spiritual barriers include things like misalignment, and disjuncture, all of which cause anxiety, shame, guilt and other Blocking Emotionswhich make it hard to connect the spiritual ego with the body ego. The LP removes these spiritual barriers by providing instruction on how to heal the brain physically, and by providing clear guidance on how clear anxiety and disjuncture and (most importantly) how to facilitate proper [wiki]Alignment[/wiki]. Don't worry if some of this is unclear at this point. We will talk more about alignment, disjuncture, and blocking emotions as we progress through the LP teachings.
