A sin is any action that causes harm to another living being.

Notes

You can harm another living being and still not be in sin. For example, it is not a sin to defend yourself or your family, or feed your spouse and your kids. Neither it is a sin to eat meat, when vegetarianism is not a viable option.

Sin causes [[disjuncture]. Disjuncture disconnects.

The guilt and shame of disjuncture are painful and an organism will do anything necessary to alleviate that pain, going so far as to even repress the powerful Self.

Self Suppression may contribute to the development of depression, neurosis, psychosis, and even physical disease.

It should be noted that sin is not the only cause of disconnection. Failure to adequately attend to the full emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual needs of the physical unit (i.e. Toxic Socialization.
