"Spirit is everywhere. Our connection with this Spirit is of great importance to our lives and the lives of others. This communion is never forgotten by the natives and for this reason whenever food is harvested, something, such as sage, is offered in return and in thanks."[2]

"“The Great Spirit found himself in tears of loneliness when awaking in existence alone, and so began creation....All animal spirits and all heavenly and earthly beings were created from the Great Spirit out of his loneliness"[3]

"We are all One, and we are all the Great Spirit. The seasons and nature must be followed for optimum living. The laws of nature are there for our harmony. The Great Spirit speaks to us through intuition or conscience."[4]
