The Great Work

The Great Work (also The Work, The Plan, The Divine Plan), is the work of bringing Consciousness to Ground (i.e.Ain Soph to Malkuth, also God to Earth).
The Great Work consists of several other works, all put together into a coordinated bundle. The Great Work includes:
- the cosmic work of creating the Physical Universe (completed almost instantly).
- the solar work of creating a [[Physical Matter] (completed billions of years ago).
- the evolutionary work (completed long ago) of creating a Physical Unit capable of containing high levels of [Consciousness]] (completed thousands and thousands of years ago),
- the engineering work of creating the technology and machinery capable of supporting the standards and demands of Consciousness (nearing completion)of Society.
- the sociological work of creating social forms capable of supporting the work of Consciousness (in progress),
- the political work of creating economic forms capable of ensuring prosperity and fulfillment for everyone (in progress),
- the psychological work of ensuring universal actualization of potential, and universal Connection to Consciousness (in progress).
Put these, and other Honorable Works not mentioned here, into the crucible and you get a Great Work indeed.
Please carefully note, it would be wrong to think that there is a "hierarchy" of some sort here. All work at all levels proceeds apace, concurrently, and in concert.
Also note, contrary to what is typically taught, the Great Work is not an operation that we conduct on our "souls." The Great Work is not an [alchemy|"alchemical"] work of soul purification, it is not a karmic balancing of debt, it is not a pathetic attempt to win "daddy's" good graces, and it is certainly not some internal "fucking drive" for Gold. That's a monstrous deviation from The Work and beastly misalignment. Our souls, our monadic sparks, are already perfect and require no moral, evolutionary, or spiritual development at all and whatsoever... period, of paragraph.
The Great Work is the work of preparing The Body for God.
Completion of The Great Work is the necessary foundation for Ascension.
