Brahmacharya (ब्रह्मचर्य), literally conduct consistent with Brahman, is a Vedanta term synonomous with Alignment

Syncretic Terms

Alignment > Asha, Brahmacharya, Conversion Experience, Divine Perfection, Ethical Perfection, Eudaimonia, Gonennoncwal, Heavenly Marriage, Holiness, Ka'nikonhrÌ:io, Ondinoc, Perfect Connection, Purification, Purity, Rectitude, Renunciation, Repentence, Righteousness, Samyaktva, Sane Living, Self-Actualization, Tahdhīb al-akhlāq, Taubah

Notes

charya (चर्य) means activity, conduct, behavior

Brahman (ब्रह्मन्) is syncretic with god with a little "g", or the original monadic spark, intensified from UC. May also refer to someone who has knowledge/experience of The Unfolding and it source.

In traditional systems, celibacy is often a requirement, though this probably has to do less with the defileing aspects of sex as it does to the responsibility and time commitment that comes when you sire many children. Celibacy means no children means lots of time to engage in Connection Practice.
