The Lost Gospels are a set of up to twenty writings about Jesus Christ that were "lost" after the Council of Hippo selected the tsenty-seven Canonical Gospels. of the New Testament.

Notes

"According to some estimates, early Christians wrote at least twenty gospels that weren't included in the bible. Many of these non-biblical gospels apparently disappeared later, although it's possible that copies of some of them still survive at unknown locations. Luckily, several that appeared to be missing have been found again in modern times. But some are still missing, and could be permanently lost." http://www.gospel-mysteries.net/lost-gospels.html

Recently, about half of the Gospel of Jude has been recovered. http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2006/04/0406_060406_judas.html
