The word Magic refers to the manipulation of creation without a concomitant material intervention.

Any individual who has ever attempted to attract prosperity, save a dying loved one through prayer, use ritual and spells to influence reality, put a poster on their wall to help shape an outcome, or used visualization and/or mantras to influence things has been engaged in magical practice designed to influence creation without material intervention.

Notes

Aleister Crowley defined magick as "The science and art of causing change to occur in conformity with will." As much as I really dislike the man and his मोह writings, he was bang on with this definition.

"Consciousness is not bound by the constraints of physical creation." (Sharp, BOLIFE)
