The Shift is the expansion of Awareness that occurs when Consciousness descends into The Vessel.
The Shift may occur in dramatic (and usually temporary) fashion when an individual has a Mystical Experience, or it may occur gradually (and with more permanence) as the result of focused spiritual education, training, and practice.
