Pleasure Principle

The Pleasure Principle is a Survival Algorithm of the Physical Unit, specifically the Bodily Ego. The Pleasure Principle, first identified by Sigmund Freud), is the instinctual seeking of pleasure and avoidance of pain.

The Pleasure Principle is part of the Needs Algorithm.

Note that salutatory programming may be subverted by Conditioning and Ideology. One can be conditioned to endure pain. One can adopt statements that circumvent instinctual programming. The Pleasure Principle may be thus circumvented by ideological statements that suggest pain is salutatory, "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger.
