Death is the termination of life processes in a Physical Unit. Death is one of the 5Ds of Toxic Existence. The word "death" may also be used as an ultimately quite confusing metaphor to describe the a) excruciating pain and suffering that often attends Disconnection, b) the actual state of Disjuncture and Disconnection that causes and is caused by disconnection, and c) a short-term Nadir Experience as in "death of the ego".
