Verbal Psychotherapy

Verbal Psychotherapy is a term used by Stanislav Grof to refer to all therapies that rely on discussions between a therapist and client. Grof considers verbal psychotherapy fundamentally ineffective at treating psychological and emotional trauma and recommends either Psychedelic Therapy or Psycholytic Therapy as the only viable alternatives.[1]
