Mechanisms of Record (MOR) are, along with Mechanisms of Indoctrination, part of the Institutional Component of The System. They are the ways in which the internal rules, regulations, more, folkways, ideas, and archetypes of The System are passed on to each successive generation.

Mechanisms of record include the written record (think Bible or Koran) and any internal, possibly “secret” word-of-mouth traditions.

Mechanisms of record can be either exoteric or esoteric. Exoteric MOR consists of the record of things (i.e., mores, rules, expectations, etc.) thrown at a mass audience, while esoteric MOR consists of the record of things used “internally,” to train/indoctrinate Agents of Consciousness and other System Agents.
