A Primary Elaboration is the elaboration and commentary on an Archetype or vision provided by the individual who experienced the archetype or vision.[1]

Notes

When people experience visions, when they experience archetypes, they talk about them and comment on them. When the individual that provides the commentary is the individual that had the experience, we call this Primary Elaboration. Compare this with Secondary Elaboration which is when a third party who did not have the experience choose to interpret, comment, and prognosticate on the archetype. [2]
