Atlantis
Atlantis is purportedly a sunken continent, a crucible, upon which a previous evolutionary phase of humanity was stewed.

The concept is popular in the New Age movement.
The concept is found in Rudolph Steiner's book Cosmic Memory[1] where is used to describe the evolution of the fourth "Root Race"
