According to Stanislav Grof, the Biological Realm is one of three Dimensions of the Psyche (a.k.a. Realms of the Psyche) within which is stored information and experiences and through which an individual must pass as they heal trauma,[1] and reintegrate

their Spiritual Ego and Bodily Ego.

Notes

Grof recommends exploring this realm via Holotropic States (i.e., Connection). He also notes that Verbal Psychotherapy is completely ineffective as a method for approaching and resolving damaging traumas[2] the Physical Unit might have experienced while existing with the toxic Regime of Accumulation

Grof notes that reliving the traumas and finding full emotional release is an essential precursor to healing and integration. [3]

Grof identifies standard emotional and psychological traumas, as well as physical traumas (operations, accidents, children's disease) as key areas for expression and resolution.[4]

Groff notes that "emotionally relevant memories are not stored in the unconscious as a mosaic of isolated imprints, but in the form of complex dynamic constellations...called COEX Systems.”[5]
