Notes

Christina Grof's death experience during an automobile accident: "Suddenly I seemed to pass through an opaque curtain of death into a deep feeling of connection with everything in the universe. I sensed that I was part of some intricate, unified network that was all-inclusive and eternal, and I felt that in that place I would continue to exist in some form forever. My belief in the finality of death was undermined by an event that was so real it could not be denied, and I could no longer believe that death was the end of everything."[1]
