| Happens when bodily consciousness makes place for a different consciousness to temporarily operate through the PU.
| |
|
| |
|
| |
| Trance channeling is less efficient.
| |
| Reason:
| |
| - Problem of interpretation -> Because the PU is temporarily inhabited by a "foreign" consciousness, the information may be transmitted through a framework and understanding which is radically different from our own cultures. This problem occurs with "normal" channeling as well, but is less pervasive, since at least the framework (language, thinking stereotypes, etc.) is bound to be "earthly". For a rundown on potential problems of interpretation, see The Book of Magic Vol.I

|
| |
|
| |
| - Problem of integrating the information -> Since the bodily ego must depart in order for trance channeling to occur, this automatically means the body is unable to "normaly" contain a sufficient amount of consciousness for normal channeling. Less consciousness in the body leads to less understanding, less insight. Therefore, the already difficult task of integrating the information recieved through normal channeling, is via trance channeling, nigh impossible.
