The proper response to a signal emotion is acknowledgment and action. For example, if one experiences guilt and shame, look for the source of that guilt or shame and acknowledge it. Then, act to change the circumstances so that you no longer feel any guilt. If you feel well being, satisfaction, and content, do more of what brings you these emotions.

Signal Emotions are basic emotional responses that serve as immediate indicators of our internal and external states. These emotions are the first layer of our emotional response system and provide quick feedback about our current experience. They are crucial for immediate survival and basic interaction with our environment but do not necessarily guide long-term Alignment like Steering Emotions do.
