Practical Man is the word Evelyn Underhill uses[1] to describe a, presumably disconnected, Naive Materialist.

Notes
Evelyn spends some time discussing the naive materialist and their limited view of Reality in the section "The World of Reality." [2] She notes that the practical person lives in a fragmentary, subjective, and ultimately delusional shadow world, constructed by the Bodily Ego and at a distance from a much bigger ultimate Reality. The goal of the mystic, guru, monk, spiritual teacher is to shatter the confidence in that world, and point the individual in the direction of something more.
