The word Magic refers to the manipulation of creation without a concomitant material intervention.

Any individual who has ever attempted to attract prosperity, save a dying loved one through prayer, use ritual and spells to influence reality, put a poster on their wall to help shape an outcome, or used visualization and/or mantras to influence things has been engaged in magical practice designed to influence creation without material intervention.
