Ideological Bleed
Ideological Bleed occurs when mystical revelation is corrupted by ideology. This corruption occurs when spiritual truths revealed in the process of inner revelation become tainted with the venal excuses and justifications of the political/economic system. A classic example of ideological bleed occurred when the mystic patriarchs of the ancient Mediterranean communities incorrectly presented the God of the cosmos as a violent, abusive, male control freak.
Ideological bleed is present in many of the world's mystical texts. It can occur to a greater or lesser extent in both healthy and unhealthy Physical Units. Naive mystics exposing divine spiritual truths are prone to ideological bleed. Ideological bleed can be prevented only by awareness of the problem, awareness of any ideology present in the physical unit, and training.
