People motivated by transcendence working towards reconnection. Abraham Maslow called these needs metaneeds. Noted people motivated by  &lt;br /&gt;

-devoted to some task, call, vocation. include outside work could also include family work though maslow clealry has some trouble here. &lt;br /&gt;
-&amp;#039;&amp;#039;inner requiredness&amp;quot; what they want to do, they must do. I want to be a sociologist, love it, also must be it. if anything else not satisfied. inexorable, preordained, destiny all words Maslow used&lt;br /&gt;
-identify with their work. make it defining characteristics&lt;br /&gt;
--ambivalent. fortunte to have found purpose, sad that others not so fortunate&lt;br /&gt;
-no distinction between work and play. work is his play (p. 97&lt;br /&gt;
